LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two suspects in an SUV believed to be stolen were taken into custody after leading authorities on a dangerous chase on surface streets through southeast Los Angeles County Wednesday afternoon.
The chase ended around 4:20 p.m. in Bellflower after the driver and a passenger bailed out of the SUV and attempted to flee on foot, but both were quickly apprehended.
Moments before the arrests, the suspect drove over a median strip - one of several erratic driving incidents seen during the pursuit.
AIR7 HD was over the pursuit as the suspect was speeding on surface streets in Downey. Multiple spike strips were placed on the road by L.A. County sheriff's deputies, but the driver dodged them each time.
Both suspects were apprehended near a strip mall near Artesia Boulevard and Clark Avenue.
